Ghurabaa (strangers) by Ahmed Bukhatir
Ghurabaa’ wa li ghairillaahi laa nahnil jibaa
Ghurabaa’ do not bow the foreheads to anyone besides Allah
Ghurabaa' war tadhainaa haa syi’aaran lil hayaa
Ghurabaa’ have chosen this to be the motto of life
Ghurabaa’ wa li ghairillaahi laa nahnil jibaa
Ghurabaa’ do not bow the foreheads to anyone besides Allah
Ghurabaa’ war tadhainaa haa syi’aaran lil hayaa
Ghurabaa’ have chosen this to be the motto of life
Inta sal ‘anna fa inna laa nubaali biththughaa
If you ask about us, then we do not care about the tyrants
Nahnu jundullaahi dawman darbunaa darbul-ubaa
We are the regular soldiers of Allah, our path is a reserved path
Inta sal ‘anna fa inna laa nubaali biththughaa
If you ask about us, then we do not care about the tyrants
Nahnu jundullaahi dawman darbunaa darbul-ubaa
We are the regular soldiers of Allah, our path is a reserved path
Lan nubaali bil quyuud, bal sanamdhii lil khuluud
We never care about the chains, rather we’ll continue forever
Lan nubaali bil quyuud, bal sanamdhii lil khuluud
We never care about the chains, rather we’ll continue forever
Fal nujaahid wa nunaadhil wa nuqaatil min jadiid
So let us make Jihad, and battle, and fight from the start
Ghurabaa’ hakadzal ahraaru fii dunya-al ‘abiid
Ghurabaa’ this is how they are free in the enslaved world
Fal nujaahid wa nunaadhil wa nuqaatil min jadiid
So let us make Jihad, and battle, and fight from the start
Ghurabaa’ hakadzal ahraaru fii dunya-al ‘abiid
Ghurabaa’ this is how they are free in the enslaved world
Kam tadzaakarnaa zamaanan yawma kunna su’adaa`
How many times when we remembered a time when we were happy
Bi kitaabillaahi natlu-hu shabaahan wa masaa`
In the book of Allah, we recite in the morning and the evening
Kam tadzaakarnaa zamaanan yawma kunna su’adaa`
How many times when we remembered a time when we were happy
Bi kitaabillaahi natlu-hu shabaahan wa masaa`
In the book of Allah, we recite in the morning and the evening
The Prophet said: "Islam initiated as something strange, and it would revert to its old position of being strange, so good tidings for the strangers".

Ya Akhi by Ahmed Bukhatir
Ya Akhi
Oh My Brother!
Come closer to me, don’t leave me, my brother
Oh you who are a part my spirit with, my brother
Oh my light of my heart, my guide, my brother
Oh my brother, Oh my brother…
(Chorus) Oh My brother…
Come closer, don’t leave me, oh my brother
(chorus) Oh you who are a part my spirit with, oh my brother
Oh my light of my heart, my guide, my brother
Oh my brother, Oh my brother…
The world around me, is in darkness and in corruption
So put light in my path and exchange my darkness
With your light, ah your light…
A dawn rising from the vision of a path that leads to Al-Jannah
Oh My brother…
You are a blessing of Allah, the best brother
Oh my brother…
I have nothing bad in my heart against you
In all times, I see you with me
Present you are in all times with me in my sadness and happiness
Oh My Brother…
Come closer, don’t leave me, oh my brother
(chorus) Oh you who are a part my spirit with, oh my brother
Oh my light of my heart, my guide, my brother
Oh my brother, Oh my brother…
All those around me are like a mirage,
A mirage that deceives…
That claims it loves me, and is true kindness
If my life becomes pure, then, ah then most of them…
Such a surprise (Ajaban), where are they in my times of hardship?
Oh my brother…
You have wala (love) without bara’ (hate/shaming away)
You are so loyal to me in friendship
You don’t treat me with kindness only for a want to fulfill
Mercy fillah, what a blessing of a mercy
With your face that lights, you treat me with kindness
With all the meaning of the highness and elevation
Reach out to me your right hand
So we could go together in the path of light
In the path of Iza (honor, dignity, and pride [of Islam])
If in my life, a misery afflicts me
You were there to help me get over my misery
(Chorus) Tired, Weakened I was the day you came to me
You cared for me, saw my weakness and gave me strength
With your face that lights, you treat me with kindness
With all the meaning of the highness and elevation
Reach out to me your right hand
So we could go together in the path of light
In the path of Iza
Oh my Brother...
Come closer, don’t leave me, oh my brother
Oh you who are a part my spirit with, my brother
(chorus) Oh my light of my heart, my guide, my brother
Oh my brother, Oh my brother…

My Mother (Ummi ) by Ahmed Bukhatir
Ya Ummi
Ahmed Bukhatir
Chorus
I will return oh mother
And kiss your chaste head
And supress (blame?) my desires
And taste the scent of your blessings
Besmirch in the richness of your feet
my cheek when I meet you
Water the soil with my tears
Happy that you are alive
How many nights did you stay up late
So that I could sleep to my content?
And how many times did you thirst
So you could quench my thirst with your tenderness?
And one day I was ill, I do not forget
The tears from you that were like the rain
And your eyes which stayed awake
fearing that I may be in danger
And the day we parted at dawn
and Oh what a harsh dawn that was
Words cannot explain what
I felt when I abandoned you
And you told me things which I still
remember throughout my life
"You will never find a heart
more tender towards you than mine"
"You will never find a heart
more tender towards you than mine"
CHORUS
obedience to you, oh want of my life..
[is what] the God of existence has instructed me to do.
Your content is the secret of my success
And my love of you is the secret of my beleif
And the sincerety of your prayer [for me]..
has resolved my misfortunes and my sadness
My love towards you..
no human being loves anything like it
You are the beating of my heart
And you are what lights my vision
And you are the tune on my lips
My problems cease when I see your face
To you I do return oh mother
Tomorrow I rest from my journey
And a second age will begin for me
and the branches will blossom with flowers
